Merging of similar faith in a church ?!

I'm interested in what you all think of churches that merge similar faiths ?  The church I go to, did just that about 5 years ago, we were originally Anglican and went by another church name, and then when we merged with Evangelical Lutheran, we became a full fledged Anglican-Lutheran Ministry, the only one in Canada, so far to my knowledge. I looked at the website, and by all appearances, it seems to work. I would be most concerned with how well the parishioners are able to get along with one another having different viewpoints. If they seem to come together in harmony, that's what the body of Christ is all about. As a matter of fact, I wish more faiths would come together in harmony as one big body of Christ that seeks to capture the hearts of the lost. How are your church's parishioners getting along?
