Job 7:1-2
Job 7:1-2
Job 7:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
7 Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
2 As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for the reward of his work:
Job 7:1-2 Good News Translation (GNT)
7 Human life is like forced army service,
like a life of hard manual labor,
2 like a slave longing for cool shade;
like a worker waiting to be paid.

1 Life is hard and we have to work at it. A good life does not often times come easy but I life with the Lord makes everything worth it, living for the Lord has its challenges but it is worth living more than a life without Him where people still have difficulties. As Christians we still have life like this be we have a loving Boss in Christ.
2 Slaves often times would work even under the hardest conditions and were pushed to the most extreme conditions, they would be allowed to be in the shade because this is where their bosses would be if they were out there. Workers get paid but slaves don’t, workers often times have some benefits but slaves do not, we have to thru a lot in life but with Christ we can get thru it all.
