Something I've been eating lately since I'm lactose intolerant but for some reason can eat yogurt is mixing my Special K cereal in my yogurt. It's delicious. I've also tried mixing in granola which is also good.

sweet tea is not so good if sweetened with sugar (more addictive than cocaine, and leads to numerous maladies including alzheimers) nor if made with lipton tea (known to have deleterious additives!  aka - carcinogens)

i too love trail mix, but be careful if salted with table salt (cheap) as opposed to a sea salt or himalayan salt (expensive); also raw nuts MUCH better than roasted!

i like popcorn (with the same salt considerations!) sprinkled with seasonings and vinegar;  carrots, fruit, peas if i am in my garden...

I guess I kinda knew sweet tea was unhealthy, but it's so hard to resist sometimes, especially on a really hot day. I agree with you on trail mix! I like cashews best, they don't even have to be in trail mix. I've been weary of uncooked nuts lately though as there have been numerous recalls of them lately. I am also a big popcorn fan, unfortunately I like mine buttered. Never tried it with fruit or veggies, though.

i am getting the impression butter is not as bad for us as they once said, though in general dairy stuff is not a good idea;  absolutely no margarine though!  i might squirt a little olive oil on my popcorn along with drips of vinegar;  never tried mixing with fruit though...;  i use herbs / dried oregano for example, on the popcorn, which is a veggie...

I love (real) butter myself lol, but I was raised on it. I used to pile the butter on my toast, now I don't use much. I absolutely love peanut butter. My weakness is sweets. I eat a lot of them even if I manage to eat healthy I still eat tons of junk food. I think I am going to start keeping a food diary and see if it helps me eat less sweets.

just dont have sweets in the house!  and be sure you use peanut butter with the oil on top that has to be refrigerated, not skippys and that ilk!  what you are eating today will affect your health 10-20-30 YEARS from now!!

That is not a comforting thought at all. I have been eating unhealthy since I was a teenager and could "get away" with it then. Now not so much, it shows up on me pretty quickly lol. I do like the natural peanut butter and Jif is my favorite, I'll have to try the Jif natural peanut butter. You're right about keeping sweets in the house, if it's here I'll eat it. In the past I have tried the go to the store only for one piece of junk food and not keep any at home, I literally did this every day and I did manage to lose some weight because even though I was eating bad food everyday, it was only one serving. Maybe I need to start that again but not everyday lol.

just dont have it in the house...shrug...

and - know what your spiritual gifts are, and EXERCISE THEM!  you likely will find yourself so enamored by tasks at hand that snacks and food dont mean as much to you!  HE is the bread of life....

dont think about losing weight...it is soooo negative;  think about finding ways to exercise your gifts!

and if you are a musician at heart, and you work at the accounting firm, you have the root of the problem right there!

Ha ha, I used to doodle during school... one time (in English class nonetheless) I was drawing a flower and the teacher caught me and thought I was drawing a gingerbread man! I think that's when I knew I should focus more on writing than drawing.

One thing I've been finding lately (relating to not eating healthy) is that the more sugar I eat, the more I crave it. The more "real" food I eat, the less I crave the sugar. Just an observance!
