Do you have a garden?
If so, what do you grow? I have basil and tomatoes.

My tomato plants are really getting tall! What do you do with the veggies in your garden- do you cook them or eat them as is?

My lemon balm got a lot taller! Do you grow lemon balm- if so do you make tea out of it or just enjoy the smell? I really enjoy the lemony smell it has.

Re: Do you have a garden?
extra veggies go either to the nearest rescue mission or to your freezer...
lemon balm is awesome for the fragrance and HATED by mosquitoes! i think it works as a team or a tea supplement...do a search on the net - 'lemon balm tea'; might also go good in your bath, OR use the tea as a hair rinse!
would love to have a pinch of seeds of basil...also lemon balm if you have plenty!

Re: Do you have a garden?
I didn't know about lemon balm being a mosquito repellent and I have a big mosquito problem at my house. I'll have to get some more lol.

Re: Do you have a garden?
Yes lots of trees surround my house so there are always leaves around and when it rains the ground is damp for awhile.

Re: Do you have a garden?
The garden is in the front yard, the trees/shady spots are in the backyard, though I am thinking of trying to plant some stuff there that doesn't require as much sunlight. I treated the outside with a pesticide a couple weeks ago, hopefully it helps. I've discovered that the porch light has to be off at night or moths swarm around it, very annoying.

Re: Do you have a garden?
I tried going the natural way to get rid of insects around my home, but the problem is too bad to not use at least some. Every time I open my door a million mosquitoes and moths fly in.

Re: Do you have a garden?
I recently discovered a source of standing water with a LOT of mosquito larvae in it (gross)- an all purpose 5 gallon bucket I was using to store tools got rain in it, must have been for awhile because the whole thing was filled with water and mosquito larvae. I haven't seen as many mosquitoes since getting rid of it.

Re: Do you have a garden?
Somehow a basil plant started growing in my yard, some of the seeds must have fallen out of the planter LOL. Have things in your garden ever started to grow randomly in your yard?
