These are my thoughts, please share yours.
7 Job is referring to the night he was born often times birth gives happiness even though this is not always the case but for Job it would most likely have been if he had not been born then the night would have not been special which because of his depression he was wanting.
8 This does not mean Job believed these people had power but may be using this to success what he wanted done he wanted for time to stop prior to his birth so that it would never be born.
