Job 1:9-12
Job 1:9-12 King James Version (KJV)
9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
Job 1:9-12Good News Translation (GNT)
9 Satan replied, “Would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? 10 You have always protected him and his family and everything he owns. You bless everything he does, and you have given him enough cattle to fill the whole country. 11 But now suppose you take away everything he has—he will curse you to your face!”
12 “All right,” the Lord said to Satan, “everything he has is in your power, but you must not hurt Job himself.” So Satan left.

9 Satan was bale to still talk with God because he did not get throne in the lake of fire yet and until he does he still has the ability to talk to God. Satan questions Job, Satan will try to knock us down make us question ourselves. Satan made Eve question God’s word, Satan is known as the accuser.
10 Satan was saying that because God blessed Job he served Him. We will receive blessing from serving the Lord but our we following Him to serve Him or to receive blessings from Him.
11 Satan wants to see us suffer, Satan can not do anything to God or do anything to us that God does not allow but he loves the chance to make us unhappy and things hard for us.
12 God granted Satan the ability to take from Job but was not able to touch Job, no matter what Satan tried to do he would not be able to touch Job because God did not grant it, Satan even though does not follow God is still under God’s authority, those that refuse to follow God are still under His power even though choose not to accept His power.

Re: Job 1:9-12
Interesting that satan is still under the authority of God, can you expand upon that some?
