Job 1:6-8
Job 1:6-8 King James Version (KJV)
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Job 1:6-8Good News Translation (GNT)
6 When the day came for the heavenly beings to appear before the Lord, Satan was there among them. 7 The Lord asked him, “What have you been doing?”
Satan answered, “I have been walking here and there, roaming around the earth.”
8 “Did you notice my servant Job?” the Lord asked. “There is no one on earth as faithful and good as he is. He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil.”

6 This refers to the angels, this shows that they did not meet with God everyday but had a set time, this might just be for the fallen angels to meet with Him. Satan was and is the leader of the fallen angels and the father of evil.
7 The Lord knew what He had been doing and knew that Satan would have most likely lied about it as well. God can handle having a conversion with Satan we should not but should talk with God. Satan responds to God, this shows God has authority over Satan because he responds to Him. This is what Satan did and he caused trouble in doing it.
8 Job is referred by God as His servant, we who follow Him are His servants, and God notices us even if others don’t. Jesus is alone good but because Job had faith and followed God, he was made good by his and the fact that Jesus would later die for his and our sins. We should always worship God and avoid evil; if our eyes are on God then we will not turn to evil, but evil is always just a step in the wrong direction.
