Job 1:20-22
Job 1:20-22 King James Version (KJV)
20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
Job 1:20-22 Good News Translation (GNT)
20 Then Job got up and tore his clothes in grief. He shaved his head and threw himself face downward on the ground. 21 He said, “I was born with nothing, and I will die with nothing. The Lord gave, and now he has taken away. May his name be praised!”
22 In spite of everything that had happened, Job did not sin by blaming God.

20 It was common at this time to show grief. Grief comes to us all but perhaps never as it did for Job. Grief and death and losing things are sadly apart of life.
21 Job understood that the Lord blessed him, it is hard to see this when things are going against us, someone did have it out for Job, Satan. Often times when things go for the worst we do not turn to God but turn away. We should look at ourselves to see how we react when things go against what we want or think should be done. Job accepted that God allowed all that had happened.
22 Job stayed true as God said He would, this may have made Satan want to break Job. Job did accept that God undone things but accepted that He could do that and praised Him anyway, Job did not curse God for taking things away from Him, in spite of what had happened Job still knew God should be praised.
