2 Peter 3:8-9
2 Peter 3:8-9King James Version (KJV)
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing: that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

8 This is symbolic shows God’s patience and shows that time means very little to the Lord. It may also lead one to believe that time may be measured different in heaven, heaven has no time though but God first made time when He ended the first day, He knows how long a day is but to Him it isn’t as important as the whole picture, all time. It was once sad that a man went to heaven and asked Jesus about eternity and they looked at the future and then could not see an end it just went on they became scared until they realized Jesus was with them, and then they looked backwards and saw no beginning. God is eternal.
9 God gave Noah 150 years to build the ark before the flood, the ark would not have taken this to build but it shows God mercy, that He was willing to give them every chance before the people died in the judgment of the flood. God wants all to come to Him but many will reject the call.
