3 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

1 This shows that he wrote 1st Peter as well. There is not many times in scripture they mention how much they wrote, this is differently. This also shows that Peter wrote it to the same people. We should be shaken up and stirred up at times for Christ. Christ allows us to become pure.
2 We need to remember the words the Lord has given us, the scriptures. The bible came to us by the prophets, by priests and by others including kings and the followers of Christ that followed before us. All the word bring honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From the beginning to the end it is a story about Christ’s love and our need for Him.
